No Matter which areas of the industry you choose to work in upon the completion of your course, you will need to have a pleasant personality, be confident in dealing with people, and possess dedication, flexibility, flair and creativity. You will also need to be a lateral and progressive thinker and show an acceptance of various cultural and ethnic groups within the hospitality industry and the society at large. You will need to shoulder social responsibility towards individuals, social groups in general and to the needs of the others within the industry.
You should have the ability to undertake a diverse range of tasks in an appreciative and technically competent manner.

You need to like people and want to talk to them. As said earlier, you will be working long hours and even on festivals. Your place will be your second home, learn to enjoy it.
Talk to everyone possible: your bosses, co -workers, juniors a most importantly the guests.
You will meet very interesting people from all walks of life, from different backgrounds, different states and various countries. Get to know than whenever possible and study their habits.
You can only do this if you are tuned into people & like to socialize.
